France Blocks Britain From EU Defense Fund

France has blocked other European nations from buying British-made weapons with its new €150 billion (us$162 billion) defense fund, the Financial Times reported on Wednesday.

Left out: European Union officials say weapons from Britain, the United States and Turkey can be purchased with its defense fund only if those nations sign agreements with the EU.

Britain, wanting to be included in the gathering “coalition of the willing,” has engaged in talks with the EU. But mainland Europe’s demands for Britain’s increased involvement in strengthening the Continent’s military capabilities include the controversial questions of fishing rights and migration.

He was right: Herbert W. Armstrong forecast for decades that Britain would not be any part of the prophesied united Europe, which would soon rise as a military and economic superpower. As Europe tightens the bonds between those powers most willing to secure themselves, Britain is being pushed out of the picture.
