Uganda Passes Anti-LGBT Bill and Sends American Left Into a Frenzy

Uganda’s Parliament passed a bill on March 21 criminalizing all forms of homosexuality. Lawmaker Asuman Basalirwa proposed the bill earlier this month, saying that homosexuality threatens family values and the safety of Ugandan children.

The bill passed almost unanimously and is on the way to the president’s desk. Considering that weeks ago he labeled homosexuals as “deviants” and has consistently railed against homosexuality, he is likely to sign the bill into law.

Uncompromising: Just identifying as lgbtq+ could land Ugandans a prison sentence. Attempting to have same-sex relations will result in a seven-year prison sentence. Promoting homosexuality will carry a fine of about $260,000. And “aggravated homosexuality” could lead to life in prison and even a death sentence.

Uganda is 85 percent Christian. It has taken an unmistakably strong and uncompromising stance against homosexuality. But while there was cheering and applause in Uganda’s Parliament when the bill passed, in the United States, there was fury.

Grave concerns: White House Press Secretary Karine Jean-Pierre said if the bill is signed into law, it would “damage Uganda’s international reputation.” National Security Council Coordinator John Kirby threatened Uganda with sanctions if the bill passed. The New York Times, the bbc and cnn have all written articles citing the grave concerns associated with this bill.

Declaring their sins: Uganda’s speaker of Parliament said, “We are making this law for our children.” But the radical left is doing the opposite. It is specifically targeting and indoctrinating children with the lgbtq+ lifestyle while attacking those who want to protect them.

As the Bible says, “[T]hey declare their sin as Sodom, they hide it not” (Isaiah 3:9). “Yea, truth faileth; and he that departeth from evil maketh himself a prey: and the Lord saw it, and it displeased him …” (Isaiah 59:15). Uganda is a prey to the United States because it is on the verge of banning homosexuality.

America is under attack. The fact that it has so thoroughly rejected its Judeo-Christian values that it is attacking an African nation that is fighting to uphold an important aspect of family shows just how severe that attack is. The upper echelons of America’s government, media and entertainment are under an evil spiritual influence.
