Top Democrats Looking to Replace Biden

As the United States moves toward the 2024 presidential primaries, top Democrats are looking to replace Joe Biden. cnn reported on July 13 that “top Democrats and donors” are reaching out to “possible replacements” for Biden, and msn reported on July 12 that Barack Obama is rallying congressional support for an alternate candidate. According to one Beltway insider who spoke to Radar Online on the condition of anonymity, Obama is hosting secretive meetings with Democratic congressional leaders and former administration staffers at his Washington, D.C., office (sometimes referred to as the “Shadow White House”).

Kingmaker: Obama played a kingmaker role in the 2020 presidential election when he called presidential candidate Pete Buttigieg and encouraged him to support Biden over Bernie Sanders. Now it looks like he may play a similar role again.

“Obama recognizes the gravity of the situation with Joe’s disappointing poll numbers,” the source told Radar Online. “He had hoped that the president would have rallied and come into his own at this point, but that clearly hasn’t happened. With 2024 growing closer and closer, he had to act since he apparently fears Joe is getting too old and frail to win.”
