‘Wokeness’ Infiltrates the British Military

The British Ministry of Defense (MoD) is allowing “wokeness” to infiltrate the military, the Telegraph reported on February 11.

Examples of the push for a “woke” British Army include:

• 93 different diversity networks run by the Defense Ministry, including 7 for lgbt issues, 14 for race issues, and 10 for gender issues
• A push by the Army to relax background checks so it can recruit more overseas soldiers and improve diversity
• An “Army Trans Day of Visibility,” held on March 31 last year, to make sure that “inclusive behaviors are instinctive within the Army’s muscle memory, its culture and the minds of all of its people,” according to a Defense Ministry blog post
• The Royal Navy’s Sexual Orientation and Gender Identity/Expression Network posters defining the 51 “most commonly used lgbt terms, such as “lgbpttqqiiaa+”
• An International Pronouns Day held in October, on which the Royal Air Force’s Gender Network told personnel that they have to use “inclusive language” by using “neopronouns” including “xe/xir/xirs, ze/zir/zirs and fae/faer/faers.”

Appalled: Conservative Member of Parliament Richard Drax pointed out the ridiculousness of these issues.

What we need is an army that is ready to fight, not wonder what they should call each other or what gender they are. … I am appalled at the level of wokeness that has infiltrated our Armed Forces which damages morale and weakens effectiveness.

Having served in the Army, I know that all we cared about was whether the man or woman to our left and right could do the job. [P]olitical correctness on the scale the [Daily Telegraph] has uncovered is laughable when you consider the very real threats we face around the world. I’m sure our enemies are shaking in their boots with fear.

Moral decline: Rather than focusing on defending Britain, the Army is obsessed with “diversity” and lgbtq issues. This moral decline and disobedience to God’s law is leading to severe curses and punishment for Britain and America.
