Tech giants are censoring what you watch and read, and the consequences go beyond the 2024 election. On May 23, investigative journalist Michael Shellenberger released a 10-post thread on the social media platform X exposing how former Disinformation Governance Board director Nina Jankowicz and a group of “former” Central Intelligence Agency analysts tried to hijack X’s content management system three years ago.

The Central Intelligence Agency (cia) is the most famous of the 18 U.S. government agencies that comprise the Intelligence Community (IC) of the United States of America. Unlike the Federal Bureau of Investigations (fbi), the law strictly prohibits cia employees of contractors from spying upon or running clandestine operations against American citizens on U.S. soil. But now, a new Twitter Files investigation reveals that a member of the Board of Trustees of the cia’s mission-driven venture capital firm and ostensibly “former” IC and cia analysts were involved in a 2021–2022 effort to take over Twitter’s content management system.

Shellenberger’s bombshell exposé uses internal Twitter e-mails released by the platform’s new owner Elon Musk to prove that Twitter executives were working with federal agents to censor information disseminated to the American people. This effort seems to have been spearheaded by Twitter head of security Peiter Zatko, a former program manager at the Defense Advanced Research Projects Agency.

Less than three months after Twitter ceo Jack Dorsey hired Zatko in October 2020, the defense contractor recommended that Twitter hire the Alethea Group, Inc. to combat disinformation. On March 21, 2021, Zatko e-mailed a 12-page report that pushed for more government-linked censorship and said: “The organizations and people behind [Alethea] have the connection[s] to get this in front of the right people in the administration.”

Zatko was right about these connections. Alethea employs former spies and intel analysts to use artificial intelligence to censor information. Yet the most famous person working for Alethea at the time of its collaboration with Twitter was probably Jankowicz, the self-proclaimed “Mary Poppins of disinformation.”

Jankowicz later served as Joe Biden’s Disinformation Governance Board director until conservatives started complaining about the Orwellian nature of her job. In 2020, she authored a book titled How to Lose the Information War, where she called for a disinformation governance board to regulate free speech and recommended a “cross-platform” approach to censorship so actions taken by Google, Facebook, Twitter and other social media platforms could be taken simultaneously. This is exactly what Zatko wanted.

Shellenberger also noted that in late 2022, Alethea received $10 million in funding from Ballistic Ventures, whose general partner serves on the Board of Trustees at InQTel (the cia’s mission-driven venture capital firm). So there is every reason to believe that the cia is another cog in the censorship-industrial complex Elon Musk and his team of investigative journalists are exposing.

Freedom-based societies value open speech and clearly distinguish between civilian and military operations. Yet Twitter hired a former defense contractor to reach out to a team of cia analysts to censor information the federal government did not want to be known. What people like Zatko and Jankowicz call fighting misinformation really amounts to fifth-generation warfare, a hybrid warfare that seeks to conquer nations through social engineering, misinformation and cyberattacks.

It is a miracle that the American people even know about this corruption. If Musk hadn’t spent $44 billion to buy Twitter, all of this documented collusion between Big Tech and Big Government would still be a secret. And even though Musk is now working to restore free speech on X, it is almost certain that Jankowicz’s “cross-platform” approach to censorship is still working at Google, Facebook and numerous other social media sites.

America’s government is evolving away from a constitutional republic into an authoritarian technocracy run by bureaucrats, military leaders, intelligence agents, media moguls, tech entrepreneurs, Wall Street financiers and Chinese spies. Radical Democrats and establishment Republicans have teamed up to censor free speech, rig elections, and ruin the reputation of anyone who tries to stop them.

The Bible says this loss of freedom is a bitter affliction God allows to wake people up and show them how far they have strayed from His laws (2 Kings 14:26-28). This same passage also shows that God has a plan to temporarily save America so people can repent of the sins that allowed such bitter affliction to take root. But the uniparty’s control over the intelligence community has progressed to the point where it will take a miracle for this to occur.
