Joe Biden Drops Out of Presidential Race

Two weeks after saying only the Lord Almighty could convince him to drop out of the United States presidential election, Joe Biden has quit the race. Newsweek reported on Friday that Biden was irritated with Barack Obama for talking to Democratic Party leaders behind his back in an attempt to force him to step aside. Yet Obama’s meddling seems to have worked.

Biden posted to the social media platform X on Sunday:

My fellow Democrats, I have decided not to accept the nomination and to focus all my energies on my duties as president for the remainder of my term. My very first decision as the party nominee in 2020 was to pick Kamala Harris as my vice president. And it’s been the best decision I’ve made. Today I want to offer my full support and endorsement for Kamala to be the nominee of our party this year. Democrats—it’s time to come together and beat Trump.

Following Biden’s lead, former President Bill Clinton and former Secretary of State Hillary Clinton endorsed Kamala Harris for Democratic Party nominee, as did Sen. Elizabeth Warren, Rep. Jim Clyburn and numerous other Democratic officials. Yet Obama refused to publicly endorse Harris, saying he wants an “open contest.”

The Democratic National Convention begins August 19, and Biden’s delegates are now free to back someone else. So Americans can expect a sort of papal conclave at the dnc: The first Democrat to receive the support of a simple majority of delegates will become the chosen nominee to face off against Donald Trump in the election.

Kamala Harris seems to have the most support at the moment given the fact that she went through the official Democratic Primary process with Joe Biden. But other names are being floated as potential nominees, including former First Lady Michelle Obama, California Governor Gavin Newsom, Michigan Governor Gretchen Whitmer, Pennsylvania Governor Josh Shapiro, Illinois Governor J. B. Pritzker and Kentucky Governor Andy Beshear.

It is worth remembering, however, that Barack Obama was the “Lord Almighty” who ended up convincing Biden to drop out of the presidential election. So Obama will have the most influence on who replaces Biden.

U.S. politics have become a political war between two diametrically opposite leaders: Barack Hussein Obama and Donald John Trump.

Trumpet editor in chief Gerald Flurry explained that President Trump was the legitimate winner of the 2020 election. In his article “What Will Happen After Trump Regains Power,” he said that the Bible prophesies Trump’s return, yet it will not come easy. Trump “will have to fight for it,” he wrote. “It doesn’t have to be military action, but it certainly could.”

His forecast is based on end-time Bible prophecy.

Mr. Flurry explained that President Trump is an end-time type of King Jeroboam ii. “For the Lord saw the affliction of Israel, that it was very bitter: for there was not any shut up, nor any left, nor any helper for Israel. And the Lord said not that he would blot out the name of Israel from under heaven: but he saved them by the hand of Jeroboam the son of Joash. Now the rest of the acts of Jeroboam, and all that he did, and his might, how he warred, and how he recovered Damascus, and Hamath, which belonged to Judah, for Israel, are they not written in the book of the chronicles of the kings of Israel?” (2 Kings 14:26-28).

God used President Trump to save America from the radical Marxist forces seeking to destroy it in 2016, and now he will have to fight and war to recover the office stolen from him during the 2020 presidential election. The last-minute substitution of a new political candidate in place of Joe Biden is a dramatic development in this fight. Yet it does not change the underlying Obama vs. Trump conflict!
