Under Construction: New Russia-North Korea Bridge

Russia and North Korea have started construction on the first road bridge between the two, Radio Free Asia reported on March 12, based on satellite imagery obtained by SI Analytics.

The bridge will cross the Tumen River that separates the countries. While a rail bridge already exists there, the new road bridge would allow passage of cars, trucks and buses to transport goods and people.

When completed, the bridge will boost trade and tourism in North Korea and could allow Russia to exert greater influence in the region.

Strengthening ties: One expert said Russia agreed to build the bridge in exchange for North Korean support in the war with Ukraine. North Korea has sent approximately 12,000 soldiers to fight on the front lines alongside Russia.

A recent report shows that Russia is also sending advanced space technology to North Korea, and many Western leaders are concerned Russia is also helping the country become a nuclear power.

Asian alliance: Expect military ties between these two countries and other powerful Asian countries to grow even stronger. Bible prophecy foretells the formation of a colossal Asian army called “the kings of the east” that will play a central role in mankind’s last global war.
