Iranian Drones: Made by the U.S.
Many of the components of Iranian drones used to attack Israel were made in the United States, exposing a deep flaw in U.S. sanctions against Iran, according to an investigatory letter sent by Sen. Ted Cruz to the White House on Monday.
[T]he construction of the drones is enabled by the regime’s access to American components, and indeed the drones are built almost entirely from components produced by U.S. companies … including ones cannibalized from other machines or transferred through third- or fourth-party distributors using convoluted routes to move tiny electronics.
—Ted Cruz
He said funds for the drones include “roughly $100 billion that the Biden administration has allowed to flow to the ayatollah.” This failure to “prevent the acquisition of such components by rogue regimes such as Iran … suggests either a lack of will or ability” by the administration.
Instances when Iranian drones made from U.S. parts were used:
- January 28: An Islamic faction in Iraq uses Iranian drones to attack a U.S. military base in Jordan.
- April 13: 170 suicide drones are fired at Israel.
- February 2022: Russia launches Iranian drones into Ukraine.
- These same drones are being used in attacks in the Red Sea and beyond.
Sham investigation? In 2022, the U.S. formed an “expansive task force” to investigate how U.S. components were being used in Iranian weaponry. Yet Senator Cruz found that “there has not been a single published update, report or announcement” since the task force’s formation.
Apparently U.S. officials are “working to restrict access to such components,” but there is little evidence to prove they are effective. Generally, an issue that poses a significant threat to national security and its allies would be considered a priority.
The U.S. is literally building the weapons that Iran and its proxies are using against Israel, and it is all happening under the nose of the current U.S. administration.
This kind of behavior doesn’t make sense unless you understand the spirit behind the madness. As Trumpet editor in chief Gerald Flurry has said, it is about “blotting out the name of Israel.”
