Russian Military to Reach 2.4 Million Personnel
Russian President Vladimir Putin ordered his military on Monday to add 180,000 troops to its ranks. The move is motivated by what Kremlin spokesman Dmitry Peskov called “the number of threats that exist for our country alongside our borders.”
This order will take effect December 1:
- Russia’s number of troops will increase to 1.5 million.
- Russia’s military personnel will reach 2.4 million.
Last December, Putin boosted the number of military personnel by 170,000, bringing it to nearly 2.2 million. This week’s order will further strengthen Russia’s assault on Ukraine. Many analysts say Russia’s shortage of military personnel allowed Ukraine’s recent incursion into Russia.
Prophesied powerhouse: The Bible prophesies that Putin will turn Russia into a military superpower that will join forces with other Asian nations and field the largest army in human history. The expansion of his military is forwarding this prophecy.
