Pentagon Ignored Trump’s Request for National Guard on January 6
Barry Loudermilk, chairman of the House’s Subcommittee on Oversight, released transcripts earlier this month showing that days before Jan. 6, 2021, President Trump requested National Guard to ensure that the protest would be safe, but the Pentagon ignored his request.
This directly contradicts the Defense Department’s Inspector General’s report on the matter. The revelation further proves that January 6 was a setup and refutes the claim that Trump was trying to overthrow the government.
There’s going to be a large amount of protesters here on the 6th; make sure that you have sufficient National Guard or soldiers to make sure it’s a safe event.
—Donald Trump, message to Joint Chiefs of Staff Mark Milley
