U.S.: 4 in 10 Concerned About Violent Attempts to Overturn Election Results
With less than a week until Election Day, many Americans are worried about political violence.
- According to a survey released on October 28, roughly 41 percent of registered voters are “extremely” concerned about violent attempts to overturn the election.
This Associated Press-norc Center for Public Affairs Research survey questioned 1,072 registered voters from October 11 to 14. About a quarter of those surveyed said they expect inaccuracies in the vote count. A third said they were concerned about possible legal efforts to upend the election’s outcome.
Hateful rhetoric: In remarks at the Naval Observatory on October 24, Democratic presidential candidate Kamala Harris compared Donald Trump to Adolf Hitler and called him a fascist. Such rhetoric is unlikely to win over many independent voters to Kamala’s side, but it is likely to stir radical Democrats to violence if Trump wins the election.
Investigative journalist Lee Smith wrote in a recent editorial titled “Is the Left Preparing for War If Trump Wins?”:
The purpose of the Hitler narrative is not to alter the electoral preferences of left-wing media audiences already solidly in the anti-Trump column, but rather to justify taking extreme measures against the Republican candidate and the America First movement and ensure that the bulk of the military sides with the anti-Trump plot.
Civil war: The radical left has spent years attempting to destroy Donald Trump via lawfare. Yet all of their attempts have failed, leaving political violence as their only way to undermine Trump’s campaign.
Ezekiel 5:12 prophesies that one third of the population of end-time Israel (primarily America and Britain) will die from pestilence, famine and violence that will result from civil war and unrest. This means 100 million people in the U.S. will die from rioting and warfare.
Today, socialism is gathering strength. But people don’t understand that the purpose of “democratic socialism” is the same as that of dictatorial socialism: to overthrow constitutional government, by violence if necessary.
Scriptures such as 2 Kings 14:26-28 and Amos 7:8 show that God is using Donald Trump to save the nation temporarily. But unless the American people as a whole repent and turn to God, the nation will ultimately be destroyed by political division.
