Chinese Military Activity Around Taiwan Surges as U.S. Election Nears
At least 44 Chinese military aircraft, including fighters and bombers, were en route to exercises south of Taiwan, the island nation’s Defense Ministry said on November 4. This marked the third consecutive day of such activity.
On Saturday, the ministry said China had carried out another “joint combat readiness patrol” with aircraft and warships near Taiwan. The latest comes after China held large war games around Taiwan last month in a warning against what it called “separatist acts.”
Impact of U.S. elections: China claims independent Taiwan as its territory and has repeatedly threatened to annex the nation. But United States support has kept Taiwan free. Many in Taiwan are anxiously watching the U.S. presidential elections, because the results could change U.S. policy toward Taiwan and allow China to become more aggressive.
Timing: Bible prophecy shows that Donald Trump will regain the U.S. presidency, but he will have to fight for it. Such political upheaval in the U.S. could provide China an opportunity to invade Taiwan.
Trump has promised he would impose massive tariffs on China if it were to “go into Taiwan,” but he also recently signaled that Taiwan might receive less support from the U.S. if he wins.
Watch China closely during and after the elections as it will likely “test the waters” even more around Taiwan. Whether China annexes the island in the near future or not, Trumpet editor in chief Gerald Flurry has long forecast that it will happen eventually.
How could anyone fail to see that Taiwan is destined to become a part of mainland China? These 21 million people [now 23.6 million] are going to be forced into the Chinese mold ….
