Biden Awards Heads of January 6 Committee With Presidential Citizens Medals

United States President Joe Biden awarded the chair and vice chair of the House January 6 committee, Rep. Bennie Thompson and former Rep. Liz Cheney, with Presidential Citizens Medals in a ceremony at the White House on Thursday.

The medal is the second-highest civilian award in the U.S., after the Presidential Medal of Freedom.

“You are elected officials who served in difficult times with honor, decency, and [to] ensure our democracy delivers,” Biden told the recipients.

Flatteries: Thompson and Cheney were given standing ovations by a crowd of mainly Democratic lawmakers and aides when Biden awarded them for their investigation into whether President Donald Trump committed an insurrection at the Capitol on Jan. 6, 2021.

  • Cheney was adorned with the medal “for putting the American people over party.”
  • Thompson was awarded “for his lifelong dedication to safeguarding our Constitution.”

Lies: The January 6 committee’s final report alleged that Mr. Trump had engaged in a “multipart conspiracy” to overturn the results of the 2020 election. This has been thoroughly disproved (to understand, read “The Real Insurrection”).

Biden is awarding Thompson and Cheney for a false investigation that incriminates the duly elected president of the United States.

Treason: For the past four years, America has been plagued with a false president and administration whose corruption runs deep within the government. January 6 reminds us of how it started.
