U.S. Criminalizes Israel’s West Bank Settlements
United States Secretary of State Antony Blinken announced February 23 that the U.S. considers Israeli settlements in the West Bank to be unlawful. This reverses the Pompeo Doctrine begun under President Donald Trump.
This, along with numerous other pro-Palestinian moves, shows how the Biden administration does not support Israel in its fight against terrorism.
Details: The Pompeo Doctrine deemed Israel’s civilian settlements in the West Bank, Golan Heights and East Jerusalem “not per se inconsistent with international law.” Many analysts saw the Pompeo Doctrine as the most meaningful of all the Trump administration’s Israel policies.
Blinken revoked this, saying, “[N]ew settlements are counterproductive to achieving enduring peace. They are also inconsistent with international law. … In our judgment, [settlement] only weakens, not strengthens Israel’s security.”
Israel’s claim: The nation of Israel has an international claim to the West Bank. The claim is significantly bolstered by the fact that Israel won control over it in a war, which it did not start.
Unfortunately the current secretary of state and the administration in Washington is stuck in the false narrative that Jews are somehow occupiers in their own land.

Main takeaway: Many of Israel’s neighbors are determined to wipe it off the map. The reversal of the Pompeo Doctrine shows that many in the U.S. leadership share in that dark goal.
This disturbing reality fulfills Bible prophecy. Modern-day America and Israel are specifically mentioned in the Bible. One such prophecy foretold that America “shall be against” Israel in the Middle East. Your Bible says this trend will prompt Israel to turn elsewhere for help.
