October Jobs Report Much Worse Than Expected
A weaker than expected October jobs report could seriously hurt Kamala Harris’s election chances.
- Analysts expected the United States to add 113,000 jobs in October, yet the official U.S. Bureau of Labor Statistics report released on November 1 shows that the nation only added 12,000 jobs.
- This is the smallest monthly employment gain since the height of the covid-19 pandemic.
- The U.S. government hired roughly 40,000 people in October, meaning the private sector lost about 28,000 jobs last month.
Economic disasters: Joe Biden’s White House blamed hurricanes Helene and Milton for October’s lackluster job numbers. But neither hurricane hit America’s manufacturing heartland, which was the hardest hit sector last month, shedding 46,000 jobs.
Instead, the decline is due to high interest rates and tough environmental regulations that incentivize companies to send manufacturing jobs overseas.
Temporary resurgence: Opinion polls have consistently put immigration and the economy at the top of the list of problems Americans are concerned about. So the loss of 28,000 jobs in the private sector the month preceding the presidential election is likely to increase the popularity of Donald Trump and his Make America Great Again movement.
Bible prophecies such as 2 Kings 14:26-28 indicate that an end-time antitype of King Jeroboam ii will lead an economic, political and military resurgence in end-time Israel (the United States and Britain primarily). Thus a Republican victory is likely to improve U.S. job numbers.
