President Trump Plans to Pardon January 6 Defendants on First Day in Office
Nearly four years have passed since the Jan. 6, 2021, Capitol protests, and hundreds of United States citizens still languish in jail on charges no more serious than trespassing. President-elect Donald Trump is promising to remedy this situation.
On December 8, Trump announced plans to pardon nearly 1,500 people pursued by the Department of Justice in relation to the protests, on his first day in office.
“I’m going to be acting very quickly,” Trump told Meet the Press anchor Kristen Welker. “These people have been there for how long? It’s three, four years. You know, by the way, they’ve been in there for years, and they’re in a filthy, disgusting place that shouldn’t even be allowed to be open.”
Government setup: The “Stop the Steal” rally was intended to draw attention to the issue of voter fraud while Congress debated whether to certify the 2020 presidential election. Yet fbi agents like Ray Epps both stirred up violence and convinced many protesters to trespass on Capitol grounds. Capitol Police then used the violence as a pretext to shut down the investigation.
About 11 people were arrested for violent crimes, while 1,186 were arrested for trespassing. The federal government is trying to intimidate those who believe the 2020 presidential election was stolen by dealing harshly with Capitol protesters, but Trump believes these people have suffered enough.
Prophesied exposure: It is an open secret that Democrats stole the 2020 election from President Donald Trump. In his book America Under Attack, Trumpet editor in chief Gerald Flurry asserts that Trump was the winner of the 2020 election and explains how the Bible prophesied Trump’s return to power. This astonishing forecast was based on 2 Kings 14:26-28, which says an end-time antitype of King Jeroboam ii will have to war to recover something important stolen from him.
