The regime media is finally being forced to admit the truth. Joe Biden—the elderly, infirm, career, swamp politician installed and actively controlled by his former boss—was never the legitimate president of the United States of America. Nearly four years ago, I wrote an article titled “The President of the United States*,” which implored people not to ignore the small print because “Joe Biden’s inauguration was the culmination of a massive ‘deep state’ plot to destroy Donald Trump—and empower Biden’s boss, Barack Obama.”

The legacy media actively promoted the gaffe-prone pretender-to-the-throne as “the best Joe Biden ever,” and it characterized as a “conspiracy theorist” anyone who thought he was less than legitimate, less than competent or less than the leader of his own administration.

Biden hid from the people—behind the media, his staff and his “on vacation” away messages—for most of his time in the White House. Then he had the gall to run for reelection—and the media continued to portray four more years of Joe Biden as if it were America’s only hope. Biden finally came out of hiding to do at least one debate against Donald Trump on June 27, and it was a disaster for him and the Democrats because it exposed the truth: The man they had installed as the notional leader of the nation was senile.

Lee Smith, who was a guest on the Trumpet Daily this month, was one of the few early voices warning that “Joe Biden is an avatar for Barack Obama’s third term.” Yet the regime media did its best to portray Obama as keeping a respectful distance and Biden as competent. The evidence of Joe Biden’s mental vulnerability came only from deceptively edited online videos, they said.

Oh, how times have changed! Once faithful media parrots are now finally admitting that Joe Biden isn’t running—and hasn’t been running—the United States.

The Wall Street Journal published a report on December 19 titled “How the White House Functioned With a Diminished Biden in Charge.” It notes the extra efforts Biden’s aides exerted to hide his inability to function. “To adapt the White House around the needs of a diminished leader, they told visitors to keep meetings focused,” the authors write. “Interactions with senior Democratic lawmakers and some cabinet members—including powerful secretaries such as Defense’s Lloyd Austin and Treasury’s Janet Yellen—were infrequent or grew less frequent. Some legislative leaders had a hard time getting the president’s ear at key moments, including ahead of the U.S.’s disastrous pullout from Afghanistan.”

Other aides said that Biden sometimes had to be literally led by the hand.

The Wall Street Journal further reports that there “were limits over who Biden spoke with, limits on what they said to him, and limits around the sources of information he consumed.” Senior officials like National Security Adviser Jake Sullivan, senior counselor Steve Ricchetti and National Economic Council head Lael Brainard often stepped in to make decisions that people assumed the president was handling, so Joe Biden truly was president in name only.

American historian Victor Davis Hanson told Fox News on December 19, “They appointed Joe Biden as a facade, the Obamas and the hierarchy of the Democratic Party, to play the role of old Joe Biden from Scranton, where they pushed through the most destructive left-wing agenda in modern history. And then when they found out he couldn’t even play the role of a waxen effigy, they disposed him in the same abrupt manner that they appointed him.”

That is an astute analysis! The Wall Street Journal stopped short of naming Obama as the puppet master and made it sound like Sullivan, Ricchetti and Brainard were running the show. But these three senior aides were among the Obama alumni who were taking orders not from the man living in the White House but the man living in an $8 million Kalorama mansion three miles away.

The regime media did not want you to find out about their conspiracy to empower Biden’s boss, Barack Obama. But now that you have, they are desperately pivoting to a strategy of using Joe Biden’s dementia as an excuse to aggressively undermine President Donald Trump.

Former cnn reporter Chris Cillizza has “apologized” for not pushing harder for information about Biden and “promised” to push harder for information about Trump’s mental acuity. “As a reporter, I have a confession to make. I should have pushed harder, earlier for more information about Joe Biden’s mental and physical well-being,” he said. “Donald Trump’s going to come into office in his late 70s. We know very little about his medical history. I think we as journalists need to keep asking questions. Have you seen any signs of his mental or physical decline? Now, his aides may just say, ‘No, he’s great, 100 percent.’ But keep digging. If there are those signs there will be the people who are worried about it.”

Cillizza and others prioritized politics over truth and betrayed the trust of their viewers. The entire job of a journalist covering powerful people, especially powerful people in the government, is to make sure the truth gets out. But they willfully ignored or actively covered up the truth.

The regime media will no doubt keep lying, but at least more people are waking up to the fact that the nation-destroying problems afflicting America are not the mistakes of a senile imposter president, as alarming as that would be. They are the successes of a malevolent shadow president.

God is now silencing this shadow president, as I explained in my Trumpet Brief last week. But God still wants the American people to see how deep the corruption in their government became before He intervened. Daniel 8:12 tells us that America’s shadow president was able to “cast down the truth to the ground” because of the “transgression” of the people. So if the American people do not repent of their transgressions, the nation-destroying problems will return.
