Ten Wounded in Mass Shooting Outside a New York Nightclub

Ten people were wounded when gunmen fired on people waiting to enter a private event on Wednesday night in Queens, New York, the Associated Press reported on Thursday.

  • The attack occurred around 11:15 p.m., outside the Amazura Concert Hall.
  • Police reported that about 30 shots were fired before the three or four shooters escaped in a car.
  • No arrests have been made.
  • Six females and four males, ages 16 and 20, were taken to a hospital to be treated for nonfatal injuries.

Police do not believe the attack was an incident of terrorism, but they confirmed that gang-related violence is “one of the avenues” they are pursuing.
