Three Israelis Killed in West Bank Terrorist Attack
Three Israelis were killed and at least eight were injured in a shooting near the Palestinian village of al-Funduq in the West Bank on Monday morning.
Shooting: Two women in their 60s and a man in his 40s were killed when at least two Palestinian terrorists opened fire on cars and a bus traveling on a highway that passes through the Palestinian village.
Surveillance footage shows a man getting out of a white sedan with a weapon and firing at a passing bus before hopping back into the vehicle and speeding off. A second man, presumably the driver, can be seen on the other side of the car.
The Magen David Adom ambulance service said at least eight people on the bus were wounded, including the driver who was taken to the hospital in serious condition. Two others were in moderate condition, and five were mildly injured.
The three people who were killed were in two separate cars that were also fired at.
A security source later said three terrorists carried out the attack.
Manhunt: The Israel Defense Forces is searching for the attackers. Roadblocks have been put up in nearby villages, and security forces and a search helicopter have been deployed.
‘Justification’: No terrorist group has claimed responsibility for the attack, but Hamas praised it as a “heroic response to the ongoing crimes” committed by Israel in Gaza.
This “justification” is a common way terrorists gain sympathizers around the world. Many people, particularly in the West, share their sentiments, accusing Israel of committing crimes against Palestinians in Gaza.
