Russia Rearming Faster Than Expected for Potential Attack on NATO

Russia has already replaced missiles and tanks lost in its invasion of Ukraine and is rapidly rearming for a potential attack on nato states, according to an assessment published by Maj. Gen. Christian Freuding on January 20.

Russian President Vladimir Putin has focused the economy on feeding his war machine and is buying extra supplies from Iran and North Korea, Freuding said.

“The Russian armed forces are not just able to compensate for their enormous personnel and material losses … they are successfully rearming,” Freuding told Die Welt.

Although it may not be clear whether Putin is planning to attack nato, he is “clearly creating the conditions for it,” he added.

Foreign support: The war has been much costlier for Russia than expected, but Moscow remains strong. This is largely because Russia has received millions of artillery shells from North Korea and about 12,000 North Korean soldiers to help it fight Ukraine.

The Russian economy has not been seriously damaged by Western sanctions, partly because India and China have become major importers of Russian energy.

War status: Russian forces have currently surrounded the key Ukrainian town of Pokrovsk and are on the brink of capturing it. Pokrovsk is strategic as a supply hub for the Ukrainian military and a major railway and road network center.

Reshaping Europe: Russia’s slow but sure gains in Ukraine, along with the support it is receiving from foreign powers, is terrifying Europe. Bible prophecy indicates that fear of Russia will prompt the Continent to unite and militarize into a superpower unlike anything mankind has ever seen.
