President Trump Signs Multiple Executive Orders on First Day Back

Within hours of his inauguration, United States President Donald Trump signed around 200 executive actions, memoranda and proclamations, fulfilling multiple campaign promises and reversing several policies implemented by Joe Biden’s administration.

President Trump said in his inauguration speech that these orders would be the beginning of a “complete restoration of America.”

The first executive order President Trump signed rescinded 78 “destructive and radical executive actions of the previous administration.” Many of these Biden-era policies aimed to diversify the federal government and promote transgenderism.

Cost of Living: President Trump then signed an order directing every government department and agency to address the cost-of-living crisis in America.

January 6: The president issued pardons to nearly 1,500 protesters who were wrongfully charged with trying to overrun the Capitol on Jan. 6, 2021. He dismissed 450 pending cases and commuted six sentences.

Climate and energy:

  • President Trump withdrew the U.S. from the 2015 Paris Climate Agreement for the second time.
  • He also revoked a 2021 order from Joe Biden that sought to ensure half of all new vehicles sold in the U.S. by 2023 were electric.
  • He revoked a 2023 memo from Biden that prohibited oil drilling in the Arctic.
  • He declared a national energy emergency.
  • He promised to refill the nation’s oil reserves and begin exporting American energy again.

Migration: President Trump declared a state of emergency at the U.S.-Mexico border, which allows the military to become more involved in border security.

  • He signed an order designating all drug cartels as terrorist organizations.
  • He also signed an order barring citizenship to children born to women who are illegal immigrants, arguing that that is a manipulation of the 14th Amendment.

Free speech: President Trump banned federal agencies from pushing online censorship.

Foreign affairs: Trump signed an order that suspends all U.S. foreign assistance programs for the next 90 days, pending their review.

  • He removed U.S. sanctions against Jewish settlers in the West Bank.
  • He put Cuba back on the list of state sponsors of terrorism.

Death penalty: President Trump signed an order that directs the attorney general to ensure states have the necessary means to carry out capital punishment.

Biden had placed a moratorium on federal executions in 2021, then changed the sentence of 37 defendants on death row to life in prison. Currently only three prisoners await the death penalty.

Government and federal workers: President Trump temporarily halted all federal hiring, except for the military and the newly created Department of Government Efficiency.

  • He ordered all federal workers to work from the office five days a week.
  • He ordered an investigation into federal agencies that may have weaponized their authority against political opponents over the last five years.
  • Trump reclassified federal employees as political hires, meaning they will be easier to fire.
  • He revoked the security clearance of 51 intel officials who signed a letter lying that Hunter Biden’s laptop was Russian disinformation.
  • He signed another order that will hold former government officials “accountable for election interference.”
  • He ordered a pause on all new federal regulations.

TikTok: President Trump signed an order that temporarily delays a federal ban on TikTok for 75 days.

Gender: President Trump signed an order ending government diversity, equity and inclusion programs, and he designated that the federal government recognize only two sexes: male and female.

“Agencies will cease pretending that men can be women and women can be men when enforcing laws that protect against sex discrimination,” the order states.

W.H.O.: President Trump withdrew the U.S. from the World Health Organization. “World Health ripped us off; everybody rips off the United States. It’s not going to happen anymore,” Trump said while signing the order.

Great Again

2 Kings 14:26 says that America, the modern-day descendants of ancient Israel (request a free copy of The United States and Britain in Prophecy to prove), would suffer “bitter affliction” in our day.

As Trumpet editor in chief Gerald Flurry explains in his book America Under Attack, God allowed this affliction at the hands of the Obama-Biden administrations because of our nation’s sins. But as verse 27 states, God “said not that he would blot out the name of Israel from under heaven: but he saved them by the hand of Jeroboam.” Mr. Flurry explains that President Trump is fulfilling this role as a modern-day Jeroboam.

President Trump’s actions on his first day back in office show a massive about-face in the direction of our nation. America will be saved from its affliction, but this saving is prophesied to be temporary if our people don’t repent.

Mr. Flurry explains:

This resurgence was not because of any personal greatness or leadership skill by Jeroboam. It was because God took pity on Israel in its affliction. It was because God chose not to let the name of Israel be blotted out. It was because God saved Israel!

But that resurgence was temporary. Israel did not thank God for the blessings, nor repent before God. And soon after, Israel was conquered and its people were taken captive by the Assyrians.

This prophetic history is especially relevant today. Remember the prophetic principle of duality. History is repeating itself.

The changes occurring in America with the return of President Trump are compelling and dramatic. But we must understand the purpose behind them. God still wants the nation to repent and turn from its sins.
