North Korea Sends 3,000 More Troops to Russia
North Korea sent around 3,000 more soldiers to Russia during January and February to continue support for Russian President Vladimir Putin’s war on Ukraine, the Associated Press reported Thursday, based on a report from South Korea’s military intelligence.
- The additional troops are intended to offset losses incurred in the war.
- North Korea has already supplied Russia with at least 11,000 troops for its war in Ukraine.
- It has also provided ammunition, including howitzers, suicide drones and millions of artillery shells.
Partners: North Korea has helped Russia maintain its military capabilities throughout this war. In return, Russia supplies North Korea with cash, oil and weapons technology, including space technology.
